The Things We All Carry

About Brendan

Red Sox hat.
Freshly roasted coffee.
Zero judgement.

What I care about most?
That moment someone realizes:
“I’m not the only one. I don’t have to suffer in silence.”

I’m a podcast host, author, speaker, and trauma-informed coach with over 25 years in human behavior. My background is in psychology, sociology, and applied behavior analysis. Not only did I educate for this field, but I have over 10 years of lived experience inside the first responder culture. In addition to that, my hobbies include coffee roasting, attending live music, and spending time outdoors.

I’ve been in the rooms where silence is expected.
I know what it’s like to be seen as “the strong one” yet be quietly falling apart inside and afraid to speak up.

My work exists to end that silence.

My Approach

- Human first, expert second
- Empathy without judgment
- Humor and storytelling as healing tools
- Calm presence in intense emotional spaces
- Practical tools that actually work

Why?

Because when we expose the truth, we remove shame.
And when we speak the story, we reclaim ourselves.

My Core Beliefs

- You’re not meant to carry trauma alone
- Strength requires vulnerability
- Talking about trauma saves lives
- Genuine community is part of the cure
- Your experiences do not diminish your worth

You’ve tried pushing it down.
You’ve tried staying busy.
You’ve tried being “fine.”

None of that heals the root trauma — it just reinforces the internal voice that says, “Fix it yourself.”

This is where that ends.
